About Marnie Buck
I am a mother of three teens (more or less, the baby is 12). My first husband and I were in a mixed-orientation marriage for 20 years. We ended our marriage in 2023. I met the love of my life in 2022 and we married in October 2023. I work at a library. I live in rural PA and I am relatively at peace with the world.

Here is where I share my thoughts on living an extraordinary life in a mundane setting, with mundane goals.

Book: Straight Spouse
I am currently writing a book detailing my 20-year marriage. How I became a “straight spouse” and how I got myself out of that situation. How the church impacted my life in positive and negative ways. How I believe we should treat human sexuality as people of faith or just humans in general.
Other Projects
I’m also working on a short series of novels that explore regular, boring, healthy relationships. Romantic, friend and family relationships. All from the perspective of a librarian surrounded by a cast of interesting characters in a typical, mundane community.

Get in Touch
I’d love to hear from you if you have thoughts on any of the boring things that are important to me too. I’m fierce about protecting my time and my sanity. I must save it for my mundane life. But I will do my best to respond in a timely manner.
